Emery is a surviving twin who was born at 26 weeks and 2 days. She spent 132 days at a level 4 NICU and overcame so many challenges in her first few months of life. Because of her history, we didn’t start daycare until she was nearly 2 years old. Her socialization skills with other kids was very limited, her physical development was a bit behind, and her speech was somewhat delayed. However, since coming to Growing Together Preschool, Emery has thrived. She has friends and teachers she loves, she keeps up with her classmates on the playground, and she has gone from quiet and reserved to chatty and sociable! She is able to continue speech therapy a few times a month thanks to the setup that is provided at Growing Together. Since her enrollment 7 months ago, it is clear that Growing Together has been such an important part in helping Emery leave the NICU behind her and not only catch up to important milestones, but exceed them!
